Management is a complex field that combines theory with practical application. While I may need to gain extensive experience to delve deeply into the subject, I can provide some elementary personal insights and observations.

The Mission and Vision of Top Executives

Firstly, the management field is quite broad, and without practical experience, it may seem like a less valuable major. However, even without specialized expertise, management can still offer helpful guidance (a somewhat contradictory notion). The actual value of a theory is realized when combined with extensive practical experience.

Let's discuss the vision and mission of bosses and supervisors. As leaders, their vision often differs from that of regular employees. They usually have noble and significant goals they wish to achieve. It is crucial to align oneself with like-minded individuals, whether they are partners, executive hires, or employees in general. Understanding the company's overall vision and mission is vital because it shapes the organizational culture, brand, and ideals, which inspire pride in employees. However, everyone's needs and priorities vary. The need for survival primarily drives most employees' work, and various tools are available to evaluate their performance. On the other hand, for bosses, the definition of survival expands to include sustaining and providing for a larger group of people. Their pyramid of needs includes achieving significant goals based on the ability to support a larger workforce. Failing to meet these requirements may result in the company quitting the business. Consequently, when there are disparities in demands, vision, resources, and other factors, the grand ideals of bosses may appear unrealistic and unattainable to ordinary employees.

This gap is challenging to bridge because once an average employee shares similar goals, vision, and resources, they cease to be ordinary. Nevertheless, many bosses are willing to nurture potential employees by meeting their basic needs, expanding their horizons, and allocating resources. In doing so, they can quickly find additional partners to collaborate with. However, solely stating great ideals without addressing the gap will perpetuate its existence. Therefore, bosses and executives need to consider ways to narrow this gap. It is crucial to recognize that each individual has their rightful place and unique strengths, and every role requires people with different expertise and characteristics. Having a certain degree of gap is not necessarily bad to some extent. It allows for the right timing, place, and people. It's important to teach and guide individuals based on their aptitude without applying excessive force.

On a separate note, I initially intended to write about "About Trust," but it seems I have almost arrived at the station nearby my company. We must focus on walking well and prioritizing safety during our daily commutes. I will save the topic of trust for another occasion when the inspiration strikes.

Thank you for taking the time to read.
